Trailer & Towing Law

The law states that if a candidate passed their driving test after 1st January 1997 they have to pass an additional test to gain the "E" entitlement on their licence. This would allow them to tow a trailer over 750kg (Maximum Authorised Mass) legally on the public highway. Commercial users have a responsibility to provide adequate training if towing is part of someone's work role.
